While this doesn't list all of our activities or smaller transports, below are some of our recent projects:
Found dog on side of busy road, neglected & dumped.
Took her to vet, grooming and found a rescue for her!
February 2013
We were called upon to help a group of abandoned strays living in a lot in Bakersfield, CA. We sent out a plea and a rescue stepped up to help the dogs. Here is a picture of where they were living. We are still looking for the 4th red dog (she got away the day the volunteers caught the others) and we will get her to rescue once she can be caught.
SAFE !
SAFE & in emergency foster before heading to rescue.
January 2013 Abandoned House Family - Bakersfield, CA
We helped this mama and her 3 remaining puppies that were living in an abandoned house. These pups are very scared and have never known human contact. We found out about a rescue effort in Bakersfield, CA involving some awesome people who worked tirelessly to catch them.
SAFE & REUNITED!
We fostered them and are working with them to get to rescue as they are ready. They are very scared and will take time to learn to trust but we are committed to helping them get to a rescue where they will be able to find the forever loving homes they deserve.
November/December 2012HOMES FOR THE HOLIDAYS!
Update - We were able to collect funds and arrange transport for about 14 cats to get to a low cost spay/neuter clinic and then over to Petsmart where they were ALL adopted! In addition, 9 cats and kittens to no-kill rescues. We are happy to report that these were ALL the cats that were in the Wasco shelter. Certainly, there will be more and we will continue to help where needed but we were thrilled with how successful this adoption program was! Thank you to all involved!
We are working to help the cats at the Wasco shelter have a chance at adoption by being showcased at a Petsmart in Bakersfield, CA. In order for them to have this chance, they need to have shots and be spayed/neutered. Thus, we are helping raise funds to do this. A Chip-In has been created to assist with these efforts. As of 11/26/12, the two cats that have been taken to Petsmart were adopted in less than a week!

"BEFORE" BOWLS
The Plea: Our next mission is to help some of our friend shelters get new feed bowls for the animals. Pictured is what the animals are currently eating out of. We are trying to help them purchase new metal feed bowls at $5 each from Tractor Supply. Please help us with this endeavor by sending your contributions to our paypal email address: donate2underdogz@gmail.com. Since we are still in the nonprofit application process, we can't offer a tax deductible receipt at this time. But, we are happy to be able to organize this effort to help provide a better situation for these animals waiting in under-served shelters. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!!!!!!!!
